Young vignerons Clémentine and Rémi Isarn have taken on various parcels of vines in an area which straddles the communes of Gabian and Montesquieu (close to mas Rolland goat farm for those who know the area). The result is two excellent wines with very different profiles. This Syrah, Grenache and carignan blend is all about the fruit, but as is aften the case in this area (Gabian, Caux, Roujan, West Pezenas), the Carignan really makes its presence felt. The tannins and astringency are really well managed and there's lots of brambly fruit. For lovers of local reds this wine could only come from this area in my opinion. Really interesting acidity which helps to bring out the fruit.
