Produced from vines that Cébène posesses outside the Faugères appellation, close to Corneilhan just north of Béziers. Exceptional terroir with 30m of marine sediment providing the perfect opportunity for the Grenache (which makes up over 80%) to really express itself. Very low yields lead to exceptional concentration with lots of black plum and smoky notes. Still has a remarkable amount of finesse and plenty of structure and ageing potential, helped no doubt by the Mourvèdre which makes up the rest of the blend. Jancis Robinson's tasters called it "Very Very Good Value", and we agree.
